About this location

Paramedic care across 1,800 square miles, every hour of every day.

Formally, Beaver County Emergency Medical Service.

Beaver County EMS is the county's primary provider of pre-hospital emergency care and transport, dispatched through the county 911 centre every hour of every day.

Distance is the defining fact of the service. Crews cover roughly 1,800 square miles of open country, so an ambulance here carries more equipment and more capability than one working a city grid, and the crew is often the only clinical care a patient will have for the first half hour.

Beaver County EMS operates under the Authority rather than as a separate district, and its budget is approved by the Board of Trustees.

Our average response covers a lot of open country. Everything we carry on that truck, we carry because of the distance.
